Forum Discussion
Due to the complete inaction by EA, cheaters have become far more brazen in their actions. They brag about it in chat in almost every mode, from HvV to GA and recently even Co-Op.
They have used Discord to organize and flood the forum here with topics that by EA's standards should have been merged and closed long ago, to create the optics that it isn't a serious issue.
I worked as an intern for Kotaku until last month, when I was let go during the restructuring after our buyout. We were all told in the week leading up to our last day that in no uncertain terms were we to make submit any negative stories regarding EA. This has a lot to do with the "Stop Killing Games" movement as well.
The truth will come out. About EA, the "Kyber" project and specific employees that profited off of a Twitch streamer that weaponified a group of troll-followers via Discord (oh do we have the receipts on that) that have gone as far as doxxing some of us that worked on this story.
I am writing a guide for dealing with hackers in-game, as there are a few things you can do to mitigate the enjoyment they get from cheating. I'll keep everyone posted.

Thanks for explaining things, makes a lot of sense that EA just does not care at all. I wish you the best in your career, wish I could do what you do!
