Re: Your Heartbreaking Moments

The realization that Grievous is a bad hero in HvH without his infamous bugs.

For real, when the helicopter spin bug was still a regular thing after activating the surgical strike ability, it would delay the hit so that it was almost impossible for a blaster hero to counter this with rolling as it was unclear when the ability hit actually commences. Also this could bypass blocks when randomly counting as hit from behind.

Not even talking about the multi-hit claw rush before the last update.

Ok, there's one current bug that doesn't profit Grievous and that's that the get up damage from claw rush is no longer applied for some reason.

This decreases the effectivity of the current claw rush furthermore, making it no risk for a saber player to just try to parry the claw rush hits everytime.

Even if that fails and he gets hit by the claw rush, there won't be any get up damage applied and it often takes too long for Grievous now to score a following up strike. The claw rush is still great in infantry modes, but not of great use anymore in HvH.

  • Either the incompetence or narrow mindedness of the developers (and if you need to ask you are a part of the problem), or the copious amounts of ignorant humans/teammates in GA who quite literally do everything they can to avoid capturing/defending the objective(s).

@Valar81MorghulisHere’s one thing: I can get behind teammates avoiding the objective in GA like the plague.

Especially if they’re heroes who hide all the time instead of, well, being the hero and using up a hero slot that should have gone to a much better player.

@FearfulWarpIIThe problem is just that in GA people can camp in the red zone so that there's no way for the enemy team to close in to that guy. Also very cancerous when it's the snipers.

Then the objectives in GA aren't really fun to play imo, you basically just get smacked into the face when tryng to do them.

Like what's the point of using the ion disruptor on that enemy AT-AT or MTT apart from getting killed fast?

Seriously, I have spent entire games just focusing with anti-armor or tanks on them as soon as they're vulnerable, didn't really hurt them much.

Just an example, it feel like doing objectives in supremacy is more rewarding overall and less of either wasted efforts or a death sentence.

  • @TRlALON Agreed. GA always felt like I was being punished for playing the objectives. Flanking objectives is minimized by the map design too. So I'd get bored of having no where to go and leave. lol

Battlefront 3 needs to be a Conquest first game with open maps. They could still accommodate GA similar to how Battlefield modifies Conquest maps for Rush mode.
  • The ONLY way to truly get better at this game is to actually play the objective(s). Sure, I honestly do take my Hero(es) and quite simply run off to end the game when my team is either not at all helping with the objective(s) or my whole squad (and others) are waiting for me (a player who actually plays the objective) to quite simply die so they can spam abilities for kills and hide, then repeat like a coward.

If players have shown that they have no intention of playing the objective I will get a Hero or Villain and then just do nothing with it in order to end the game that will be pointless to play. The idea of GA is an objective based and team oriented game. If you want to do stat padding than go play Co-Op. The reason(s) I seldom fire Ion Disruptor cannons these days is because all of my basic troopers are maxed out, and I'd rather get in a force multiplier like a piece of armor or a starfighter to better my teams chances of winning.

I had one of those moments a few days ago while playing Co-op on Kashyyyk.

We were down to the last defending point and it was sweaty one. We are taking out clankers, right, left and centre, but they started to overwhelm us and taking out our brothers. One by one a brother was falling

With having a really hard time surviving, we where fighting to the last man and the time is getting close. It ended with me being the last man on the point and we entered over time and I left capture area without knowing it and lost the point and lost the battle.

    It was great fun!

  • These are the match results after a very long supremacy matc of today.

I think this is a new personal kill record, but it stopped being a fun match either at some point, see below.

We had two ship assaults at first to attack the Venator but didn't get really far in the reactor core phase because the enemy team made love with the corners really hard with their CCs and ARC soldiers. It was basically like me and my team were trying to run against a wall.

In the second attempt I realized after like one minute that we most likely won't get any farther than before and that's exactly what happened.

Really, I can't blame my team for this at all.

Afterwards, they had two ship boardings on our dreadnought in a row and won. Lame. *slow clapping*

I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have made it past our first assault without cheap CC costs.

I did what I could by using Bossk in all scenarios but the cheap reinforcement event can be outright cancer when playing against a halfway good republican team.

CCs really prevail in corner camping, not even mentioning that the separatists fall short on Droidekas because they still have the default BP cost.
