Sudden Battlefront 2 Glitch

I bought a copy of BATTLEFRONT 2 off of Steam a few days ago because of the summer sale. I have it on XBOX but i wanted to see what it was like on PC. It has played fine for days but now the shaders and graphics are glitched and it kicks me out of the game. (July 4th, 2025)

I run a chill PC (RTX 3060, i7 13th, MSI Gaming Board, 64g gslide ram). i have zero problems with other games and i get no errors. I run scans and defrags, no mods. But the game is basically worthless now. Help?

    I guess i'm not the only one with this issue, wth??

    I thought it was an issue with my external hdd at first but nothing worked.

    Sometimes it crashes on a black screen instead of the menu too which i found kind weird

    i've been able to get to the menu finally, and yea similar things are showing for me but not as intense

    I think I found the issue, you need to go to the steam launch options and put -dx11 into there. If that doesn't work, try and load the game and hope that it doesn't crash before you can get to the video settings, then when you're in the video settings turn off direct x 12. Hope this helps 👍

    DirectX 12 is the culprit. Switching to DirectX 11 should solve the problem.
