And also got charged £20 for the phone calls I've made to EA...which is double my standard monthly phone bill.

I don't have any new details on this. If I find out there's a known issue, I'll relay that information. At this time, we're not aware of something that is causing this error for large amounts of players across all platforms.

Can you have them post in this thread? That will help bring attention to it. As far as not being able to reach chat goes, I'd recommend using Twitter (@EAHelp) or Facebook (facebook.com/eahelphub) to continue getting help with this.
I have opened all necessary ports, been on an hour long phone call with EA, as well as chats, called my internet service provider and consulted my friend who is a computer engineer. I’ve done all trouble shooting and am still getting the same error code 721. Cannot connect to EA servers. My computer engineer friend says it is at your end as we have exhausted all possible things at this end. I haven’t been able to get on in weeks. Yesterday I was notified there was a new download in the game. I figured it was a fix to this issue. No luck. Still get the error code.
Ps 4. All the same issues. I have exhausted trouble shooting at my end. It’s at your end. Please fix. It’s been over two weeks. Can’t get on. 🙏
