@Wilhuf Microsoft doesn't even support Windows 7 anymore. Might still work though...

    I'll be testing it on Win7. I don't want that win10 spyware OS.

    Fingers crossed.

  • Due to the constraints eventually you will need to upgrade to Windows 10 simply because the APIs for future games won't support windows 7. Do please let us know how it goes tho, interested in seeing how long Windows 7 can play the games without too many issues if any.

    Will do. And will post results. I'm actually not optimistic that I'll even get into a load screen, but, I'm gonna try.

    @NeartheninjaI'm getting this error every time I try to launch it. I'm using W7U:
    "The procedure entry point DXGIGetDebugInterface1 could not be located in the dynamic link library dxgi.dll"

    But I'm not giving up. Intel said the CPU I use in my computer would NEVER work on a windows 7 OS under any circumstances.
    I proved them wrong.
    Other people said that the USB ports won't work due to an incompatibility so I'll have no choice but to "upgrade" to the janky bloatware known as W10. They were right about the ports not working at first, but with a little work,
    I proved them wrong too.

    I'm gonna keep at this. And who knows, maybe the devs themselves will release a hotfix that fixes this issue, as some other game devs have done for this exact issue.

    EDIT: got it working. https://www.gog.com/forum/system_shock_series/new_system_shock_ue4_demo_for_windows_7_64_users/post9

  • @Id_Hug_You I had same error, just a new dxgi.dll and that solved first error ...but now i m getting error 29 ... from easy cheat ... game doesn't start, did you encounter this one ?

    @Lord_Icedewd
    This is generally caused by having the wrong version of the DLL File. I've seen similar errors when using a DLL File to fix a game directly, or to make it USB-Bootable.

    Try looking around to double check that you've got the correct version. Otherwise, contact EA, tell them the issue (including about the DLL File).
  • @GENERALZOOL Well, I 've restored the original DLL, no dice (no pun intended) ...
    @ycc-ade tried this ,but still got the erro 29 ... so first I 'll try to get the dll issue solved the retry reshade (i 've read on multiple locations that this is working)
  • @GENERALZOOL I got it working ... reinstall directx, .NET and fix the permissions on system32 did the the trick , combined with the reshade solution for win 7
