That's helpful, thank you. I'll have our team check out what's going on with pre-order content for players on Steam who experienced Error Code 918.

I would also like to point out that I don't think the problem is on Steam's end. I have the pre-order DLC in my library, and it is installed.

So it's not like Steam didn't give it to me, they did. The game just doesn't recognize it or unlock it, for some reason.
@Straatford87 I believe the bonuses are supposed to be available for players that pre-ordered at the beginning after the game launch, as three of the people from my Steam friend-list who pre-ordered had told me that they have their bonuses available IMMEDIATELY after they got into the game, they do not have any progress on the single player.

- @Straatford87 Just to add my name in the hat: I also had Error Code 918, which was subsequently fixed. After finally seeing all available cosmetics indeed the pre-order cosmetics are missing.

Here's what I'm seeing in game. I've tried restarting it, I've waited 3 days, I've removed and reinstalled the DLC on steam and still nothing.

I currently have the same issue as everyone else who's had the Error Code 918. None of the Pre-Order content is available and says it won't be available until operation 2.

Locked behind operation 2- @Ecclesiastros @Straatford87 I too had error 918 and can see my pre-order skins etc but they are locked in Operation 2. Steamid: Chrustec. Hope this can be fixed soon thanks.
@Straatford87Why is this topic marked as having a solution? This is not true! It's been four days since the game was launched. Many players did not receive pre-order content.
Why is there no official information about this problem?
Why is the community manager silent?I expect its because there is no easy solution.
I would imagine they messed up and made the DLC activation a one shot thing that missed the boat because of the connection error and are now scrambling to try to work out how they can activate it on missing accounts. If it were an easy fix they would have said something by now.

@Straatford87 - I believe this is a known issue, so should go on the Known Issues thread, correct?

If you look in Known Issues they are aware of this problem and working on the solution. Also if you read through this topic you would notice that EA has responded with an update letting us know they are working on the problem. All we can do now is be patient. You can play the game, unlock other skins and know that your pre order content is coming. - DarthFDG5 years agoHero+

What people have called out is that this thread is marked as solved, when it is not solved.
918 is not a pre-requisite for the pre-order issue. I never saw a 918 error, yet I can't access the pre-order content. 918 may be unrelated, so the Known Issues likely needs to be clarified. I can't say for sure, as I'm not on the dev team.
Just in case I missed something, I believe I see the skins there but locked until Operation 2. (Screenshots attached.) Does anyone else see the skins but are locked or am I the only one here who sees that?
In the 2nd post (which was marked as the solution), I noticed that is says you have to play a bit. Maybe it's not intended to be there as soon as we opened the game or maybe pre-orders are supposed to get immediately and everyone else wait. (If the latter then maybe it's not an exclusive?) I'm not sure what was intended.
Anyway, I suspect that because this thread is considered "solved' no one revisits it. (Hopefully I'm wrong.)

Correct, you do need to play for a bit before you can unlock the content. However, your fellow pilots mentioned that even after reaching the parts needed to unlock the content, it's still not there.

As an update, we're still investigating and I'll provide more details as they become available. I've also added a comment to my main post marked as "solved" to clarify that it's only marked as solved so the post is easier to find and read.

@Straatford87 Thanks. Since I pre-ordered and have access to the customization screen you can see it's still locked for me. (See previous screenshots. I'm on Mission 7 so far.) I guess add my name to the list.
I'm assuming that the pre-order is not exclusive then and others will eventually be able to get the same cosmetics?
Maybe this is related to the issue with Origin not fully recognizing we have the game installed? (and maybe that was related to the network error we had previously?)
I can see the game in Origin, I can't launch from Origin nor can I see progress in Origin.
