VR Performance Very Bad = Makes Me Sick, Headaches. Why is it so bad?

What were you doing when the bug occurred? Step by Step detail is helpful. playing the game with: i9-9900k, 32gb RAM, GTX 1070 ti, nvme m.2 ssd, oculus cv1, steam

What happens when the bug occurs? low frame rate, stuttering images, I feel sick and the game gives me a headache, I become upset that i had planned to play this game this weekend, which i why i bought it, and now i wont have another chance until next week.
What do you expect to see? smooth visuals that do not cause physical discomfort/pain
