EA app says I'm offline when trying to launch Jedi: Survivor

I'm on a Windows 10 PC, and I'm trying to launch the Jedi: Survivor game that I bought through Steam. Whenever I try to launch it, I get the modal that it's preparing the game, and then I get an erro...

    So, I ended up "breaking" Fallen Order as well while I was digging around in the Program Files for the app. However, I did finally figure out the problem.

    Both games hit a proxy site to certify themselves with EA, and I have an app on my computer that blocks all proxies. After whitelisting the site that the games needed to hit, I'm now able to play them.

    So thankfully it wasn't actually an issue with the EA App or any of the games.

"I did install both the EA App and the Jedi: Survivor game on my D drive instead of my C drive" -  As long as you've confirmed you have plenty of free space on your drives, this is fine. I've been doing it for years.

"I bought it through Steam" - Then, you need to always launch from Steam.

"I've also tried installing Origin" - don't. Make sure Origin is completely uninstalled.

"I did try launching the Jedi: Fallen Order game, and that launched just fine both online and offline, so I'm really not sure why Jedi: Survivor is not working." - good to know Fallen is working for you. Bad connections can be server (and game) specific.

How many days in a row have you had the issue?
