Endless validation when launching from steam

Despite having the game installed every time I try and launch the game steam validates it for about 5 mins. The EA app pops up and says "preparing game" and then closes and after the validation finishes nothing happens when I try to launch the game again the whole prosses starts again. My game is stored on a different drive however this shouldn't be a problem it wasn't with origin. I have tried multiple ways to fix this; cleared the app caches, re-installed the game, restarted my computer, in every order I can. I have tried installing the EA games folder and the EA desktop on the same drive to no avail as the App refuses to download on a different drive other than the C: drive and that drive is full as the game has 130GB! (which is ridiculous btw). I have tried using the steam launch option fix to no avail as the ea app pops us saying that the game is not installed.
