Focus button not working (rb) on Xbox

I was told by ea support to come here. Right now I’m stuck in the lucrehulk right where you learn the force slam ability. The rb button registers in the ui but not in the actual game. I cant progress further without being able to use this ability and I want to know if there’s any way to fix it. I’ve already tried re mapping the buttons, reinstalling the game, reloading the game, and every other way I have found so far.
