Hi! I've been playing on PS5. Gave the codes to Cere, rescued our friend on Koboh, and was doing side missions/exploring. Got trophies, was saving at the save points, and logged off for lunch/go to an appointment. Logged back on and it reset me back HOURS, to the "give codes to Cere" mission. I reached out to PlayStation support, but they have no way to restore my progress. I am incredibly reluctant to retrace my steps, and I'm wondering if there is any way to restore my progress, or if I'm just SOL. Please help!

I have seen a lot of posts on different forums about save issues (Including loss of progression), Until these issues with save files have been fixed I recommend anyone on PS5 that use PS+ cloud backup go to Settings > Saved Data and Game/App Settings > Saved Data (PS5) > Sync Saved Data > Auto-Sync Saved Data once the lists loads up find Jedi Survivor in the list and turn off the sync function for the game. What this does is prevent the PS5 from automatically making a backup of the save file to the cloud.Why turn this off? Two reasons1.) If you loose progression on a save file, That loss of progression gets saved and uploaded to the cloud you no longer have a safe backup from the cloud to revert back to.2.) If you crash and your save file becomes corrupted, That corrupted save gets uploaded to the cloud you no longer have a safe backup from the cloud to revert back to.Both of these issues I have seen many people posting about on various forums.Just note that you will have to manually make a backup of your save file occasionally which you can do by highlighting the game tile on the home screen pressing the options button and selecting Upload/Download Saved Data then select the Upload option. I am 35 hours into the game and my routine when I am ready to quit the game is go find a meditation spot, save the game, quit to the title screen, close the game and then manually upload the save. I have not had any issues with my save file or loss of progress, I will not guarantee that this is a full proof method to never running into a save file issue but it can help!

It looks like my last save on ps plus was maybe almost two weeks ago because i have 16% campaign completed. But iam sure about that it is not possible to be that old. I saw same date and time on both ps5 and online cloud storage. So still i dont know what happened. Why we cant just use manual save? Its 2023 jesus christ let us manual save the game. We need more choices. This is on you. Imagine to lost 52 hours of your life due the bug to start the same game again because you want to complete it 100%. Look on the screenshots. Do you think there is somewhere file in ps5 console locked for read? And maybe devs will fix it? Or i need to really stary again?

My PS5 has automatically deleted my finished save game, and replaced it with one that took place HOURS before the point i was at before the crash!And i don't have ps plus to upload the saves to the cloud, and i didn't have a usb stick either cause i didn't think i would need to! And i only had one save file cause thats just a thing i do, i don't feel the need to create multiple saves when playing a game. I am so angry and upset rught now, does anyone know if there is a fix for this or am i just completely screwed cause this is just so WRONG! Read More

So I completed Jedi Survivor and got the achievement and New Journey plus pop up on the main menu and everything was fine. Until one time after I saved and logged off my PS5 asked what data I wanted to sync Console or Cloud I selected the newest one from 2 hours ago, but when I got into the game the only save file I had was from 3 days ago and I’ve lost all progress and item I got and was hoping there is a way to get that back or do something about it as it’s quite frustrating playing through the game and getting collectables only to have it wiped away with no explanation

After playing more that 86% of the game there was like an error report and then an information on screen said if I want to send a report to Sony (that I did). When the game restarted I lost a lot of my savings and the game restarted from 65%. Is it possible to have all my most recent savings back?

So I just had a crash on my ps5 around 30 hours into survivor. It then told me that the save file was corrupted and kicked me back to 11 hours played. I have attempted to recover from the cloud save but apparently that was overwritten too. The game stats log me at 30 hours spent how is the game this broken? Can the progress be recovered?

If your console and cloud save both have you back at the 11hr point, your progress is not recoverable, sorry.

@awesomemten I had a similar issue. I beat the game today and spent a couple hours trophy hunting. Game crashed and somehow I lost all progress from today even though I had saved several times.
Sorry you lost 3 days worth, that’s a bummer. Hopefully you can find a fix

Summarize your bug I was about to fast travel and the game crashed. When loading the game back up, the game asked me to choose the older cloud save or the more recent console save. I chose the recent one and it reverted my save back to my 22 percent save. The new journey plus save (different save) still is there though.
How often does the bug occur? Rarely (0% - 9%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Don’t know, fast travel and crash?
What happens when the bug occurs? Current Save game is lost

I finished game today and want to collect all colectibles. And game crashed and i lost everyhing… iam on start there is no progress. What did you do?!!!! 52 to hours lost… fix your game. Give me my progress back…..

Give me at least somehow new game plus with everthing what i have…… jesus christ. … cant be real. Evenr online backup missing. Is there backup from day before somewhere??
