Perform these steps too:
- Run System File Checker to help ensure the integrity of your Windows System files: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833
- Perform a clean boot before starting: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135 or http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/

Hello,
I just installed the game. Had a couple crashes in the beginning trailer. I was able to play for about one hour and crashed. From this point on, I can barely play for 30 min straight.
I tried all the steps suggested above and nothing worked.
Last crash code:
Unhandled Exception: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION reading address 0xffffffffffffffff
Please, EA, fix this. People are claiming for help since last year.
