Jedi Survivor PC (Steam) Crashes

Experiencing frequent crashes to the desktop with the following error:

LowLevelFatalError [File:Unknown] [Line: 686] hr failed at D:/depot/r8branches/r8release/Engine/Source/Runtime/D3D12RHI/Private/D3D12Resources.cpp:534 with error DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED with Reason: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG

The game is installed on the D: drive, but the depot folder does not exist.

I have so far tried:

  • Verify the game files through Steam
  • Reinstalling the game through Steam
  • Uninstalling and reinstalling the EA app
  • Performing a clean GPU driver install.

    Hi Jay

    I did this:

    This found a corrupted system file and then repaired it.

    After this, I managed to play the game for two hours without it crashing. Not enough time for me to say that’s a definite solution, but promising nonetheless.
