Need help with bug. Tried bug forum

Summarize your bug The mind control skill never unlocked and is not part of my skill tree. I am no longer able to progress in the game as I require the mind control skill to advance at the imperial post 8L- 055. on Koboh. I am also unable to use the confuse large fauna skill due to the fact this branch of the skill tree is not unlocked.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Access the skill tree/ any encounter that requires mind control.
What happens when the bug occurs? I have reached a point in the story (imperial post 8L- 055. on Koboh) where an imperial trooper needs to be mind controlled to access the next area.
What do you expect to see? I expect to be able to use the mind control skill to advance in the story. I only recently became aware that this skill was meant to be unlocked on corascunt at the beginning of the game.
