[OPEN] Unbound keys stop tutorial progression

Thanks for the post. It's probably a bit late to check, but i wonder if M will open the map in this case, letting you tab across to the rebind options. On PS5 I was able to get out of it with the options button then tab to the rebinds, but I'll test on PC when it finishes installing on my system here.

Edit: Testing locally I was able to use Esc to open the menu and change the keybind during this sequence.

This was mid-game during playthrough (not the tutorial from meditation points) if that makes a difference?

In my case I went through almost every key on the keyboard and escape, or M (for map) had no impact which I thought was strange

Not a single keys works for me either. I have to ALT+F4 to force close the game.

Summarize your bug Unbound controls when a tooltip comes up soft-locks the game
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Unbound the key "ctrl", play the game until a tooltip / hint pops up to tell you a new move, e.g. confuse power, notice the game waits for you to press the unbound key and you can no longer interact with the game, so you must restart and reset the key in the main menu.
What happens when the bug occurs? The game waits for you to press a key you cannot press, and you cannot do anything else except Alt+F4
What do you expect to see? I expect to at least be able to press escape to enter the settings and rebind the key, however, it would have been more useful to know what I had unbound when I rebound dodge from tab to ctrl as well.

Details described above, pretty easy to replicate

Playing on PS5 and had this same issue. Rebound attack to R1 and Focus to square which caused companion ability to be unbound.

Game prompted me to hold square then press (blank) to have companion attack”, but the game completely froze. Had to force close the game.

I'm having the exact same issue.  The workaround I'm using is by plugging in a controller to perform the action (in my case slowing a group of enemies).

Having the same issue, already getting pretty annoyed by it. First had it with clearing a path for the cable, but I was able to access the settings still during that. After that did encounter the exact same soft-lock scenario.

The standard PC controls are pretty bad though, who wants to press tab to dodge, ctrl makes so much more sense. I guess I'll just live with it for now until they make the port to PC a bit less controller focused.

I have since bound dodge to ctrl and bound 'focus' from ctrl to mouse thumb buttons which makes more sense for me, as the keys are bound there are no issues later on 🙂
