Out of Video Memory 99.999% at launch on beefy PC

Immediately attempting to launch the game from the EA app results in an error, Out of Video Memory. Can't even get to the title screen.

This issue exists before and after the May 1st Patch.

Game Repair does nothing.

Closing all applications does nothing.

Drivers are up to date.

The minimum/recommended specs for the game are clearly wrong, unless you have the exact specs listed it seems.

Yeah, you have more than enough juice to run the game.

Have you watched what's going on with something like HWiNFO? When does it indicate you are running out of memory?

I also suggest you attach a DXDIAG report, as someone may spot something.

I am having the same issue. Here is a Dxdiag from my system.

On game startup, the game will either give an Out of Video Memory error, or the GPU will just crash (turn all my screens purple and pixelated) and I have to force reset my PC.

I do not get an error in Event Viewer from the crash or the error.

It only happens with this game specifically.

My assumption is that the game is trying to allocate more than 10GB of VRAM on startup, therefore it just instantly crashes.

Yeah, I'm trying to run 1440P (not even 4K).  It out of mem in the very first splash screen, before you even get to the progress bar for building resources.  Usually if it makes it that far, it's going to run.   I've attached a dxdiag, in case it's useful.

@mquinn54 That DXDIAG is showing crashes for multiple apps, not just Jedi Survivor. Look at the bottom of the report. You may want to find out what's going on there.

For troubleshooting, I suggest you unplug the second monitor (maybe the one connected via HDMI).

Related, I find it interesting your DXDIAG shows both monitors in the same GPU information block rather than separate blocks, as shown in @BlurryKnyght 's DXDIAG report. I'm not used to seeing that - not sure what that's about, although I am by no means a DXDIAG expert.

Incidentally, you and I have the same OS build and NVIDIA drivers, although I have a 4070 Ti and only one monitor. Game runs fine for me.

@BlurryKnyght Similar for you -> try one monitor instead of three (for troubleshooting). You also have multiple apps crashing, including a wallpaper app.

I know about those apps - they're buggy apps and have always crashed, sadly.

THe monitor thing - Hmmmmm. I may have to look at that.

THis is using CRU to create a 2nd monitor on my HDMI so that I can have HDMI audio out to my receiver.

If I use the receiver for audio and video, it limits me to 30 FPS, so I have displayport for the real monitor and

the receiver as a second monitor.  I normally run them as "show the same stuff", since it's annoying for the mouse to go off

the screen to a 2nd screen you can't even see 🙂.  I'll look into this....
