Same problem here... still havent seen anything from the game, exept the loading Icons.
Havent found a solution yet... even though I tried every offical (and unoffical fix) there is out there... I think its now just a "lets hope EA fixes this porblem too"

Purchased on steam, click play, nothing happens. Can see ea app pop up, then disappear.
Open ea app first, start game from ea app, another ea app pop up, then nothing happened.
How to fix it?

Something like that can be caused by a background process interfering with your game. Could you try a clean boot? This launches Windows with only essential software:
