Re: [OPEN] Lost access to Pre-Order & Deluxe Edition bonuses

Under investigation. Accepting as solution for visibility purposes only.

Hi everyone,

The teams are aware of the reports and are investigating the issue.

If we have any updates, we hope to be able to share them with you as soon as possible.

In the meantime, it is recommended to try to repair the game files to see if that restores access to the bonus items for you, or make sure that the DLCs are installed correctly:

Troubleshooting the lost Pre-Order & Deluxe Edition bonuses

  • Troubleshoot missing Pre-Order and/or Deluxe Edition content for PC Steam:
    • Go to the manage DLC page of the game in Steam (on the store page) > uncheck the DLC (the Pre-Order & Deluxe Edition content) > start the game > quit the game > go re-checkmark the DLC again on the manage DLC page > launch game again.
    • Verify game files.
  • Troubleshoot missing Pre-Order and/or Deluxe Edition content for the PC EA app:
    • Open the EA app > Click My Collection > Click on the three dots on the game tile of the game and choose the Repair option.
  • Troubleshoot missing Pre-Order and/or Deluxe Edition content for the PC Epic Games Launcher:
  • To double-check if the extra content is correctly installed or not, please follow the steps in these help articles:
    • Xbox Series S|X
      • Alternative steps:
        • Close the game,
        • Sign out of your Xbox account on your console,
        • Restart the console,
        • Sign back into the Xbox account on your console,
        • The DLC entitlements should reappear for you after that.
    • PS5
    • Steam
    • Epic Games Launcher
    • EA app

Thank you.

  • @EA_Leeuw I have taken all these steps and I still do not have access to either the pre-order or deluxe edition cosmetics.  I had been talking to @EA_Mako yesterday but still have no resolution to this issue.  It's beyond frustrating and at this point I'd rather have a refund for the game given the issues and borderline fraudulent behavior with this and the other general problems the game has on PC.  This is beyond ridiculous.  I have an open case that has received no attention from support on this issue either.  I've been without a PRODUCT I PAID FOR for going on 5 days after having it at launch.  Yes, I am angry because this situation is beyond reprehensible.

  • Exactly. First the performance issues, now this. I love how they put the blame on the consumers saying that it was because of high-end GPUs but mid-range CPUs. Well, I have both a high-end GPU and CPU and I'm STILL having problems. So try again. It's because EA wanted to rush the game out before it was finished to compete with other publishers. Common EA "L." Fix your game!

  • I am having the same problem on a Digital version for the Xbox Series X, after beating the game and exiting the end credits, I no longer have access to the pre-order or deluxe content, both still appear on my xbox account's order history, but do they do not show up when I try to manage the game and add-ons for Jedi Survivor, as they ought to.

Still having issues with the content loading after trying what you said to do. I bought the game on Xbox Series X. I even tried resetting my console at this point and still nothing.

I've done ALL of that, but it still aint showing. None of the deluxe content nor pre-order stuff show. I've even tried verifying files (about 5 times now) and even that didnt work... what now
  • Hopefully it will get fixed soon, it sucks playing the game without your extra paid for dlc... Hopefully we'll get compensated with some nice new free DLC outfits or something 🙂.

  • Things I have tried:

    -Reinstalling EA App

-Logging in and out of EA App

-Logging in EA App as Username instead of email

    -Restarting PC

    -Restarting Game

    -Repairing Game

    -Reinstalling Game

*sometimes* I will get the DLC back for exactly one launch and then if it crashes or if I log off for the night, the next time I play they're gone again. It seems obvious this is some issue with authenticating this content through EA because the files are clearly always in the game - they stay equipped if you have them on when you quit. Something is clearly telling the game whether you have access to this content or not and that system is not reliably functioning.

Hi guys this worked for me and it might work for you too.

I had the same issue and i have been able to make the content reappear by doing the following steps :

1- Launch the game like usual and check if the content is ingame.

2- If it is not close the game, log out from the EA App and close it.

3- Open task manager, find " EA background service" and right click it--> End task.

4- Open EA App again , login via EA ID not email (check the attached image of this reply if you cant find connect via EA ID).

5- Manage the game --> Repair the game.

6- Once it is done repairing start the game and the content should be there ( At least for me it is).

Personally since i have been doing this the content reappeared everytime i followed these steps. It might work for you too so give it a try ( I have the game on EA App by the way not steam but it might work for steam users too since the problem probably comes from the EA App.)

    Good luck.

  • Sadly, these steps did not work for me :\

I am glad you have found a repeatable solution that works for you though

if your on steam, it worked for me this time, unchecking and rechecking (legit thats it, dont boot game inbetween, just uninstall and reinstall dlc) it came back. Coulda been coincidence, but incase its not, thought I'd let you know. o7

  • Is there any more work on this being done? I see there is a new patch for consoles and PC but no mention of the missing Pre-order and Deluxe Content. This has been an issue since release that seems barely touched on and yet is affecting many people's enjoyment and experience of the game.

I recently entered my pre-order code for the PS5 version. It was accepted and can still see it in my 'transaction history', though no download was started and it's not visable in the game. Has this got to do with the same issue posted here by OP? Does anyone know if the pre-order bonus for PS5 is actually selectable in 'manage add-ons'?

  • I would try this but I never even got mine in the first place and I pre ordered through GameStop for PC and I'm on the EA App. I sent a message and was told the same you are saying here @EA_Leeuw but even my ticket said I never got it in the first place so these don't help.

@EA_Leeuw I can confirm that the advice given above actually does work. I was just freaking out because I had lost all of my bonus content and my deluxe content, I followed the steps to uncheck and load the game without DLC or Preorder content then close out and add the checks back into the boxes and load the game forcing reinstallation. I do indeed have everything back as it was prior to this Patch 5 release. Thank you for the answer.

Ok, for me, the last time this happened, these steps worked.  They haven't worked this time.  Even removed and reinstalled the game and tried the steps again, plus verifying the files, and still not showing up.  Not the end of the world, but since I did pay money for them, it would be nice to use them.

Edit: Downloaded the latest patch last night.  Still didn't work.  Uninstalled and reinstalled today.  One save actually had them, but when I reloaded that save, they were missing again.

Another update.  Game just finished updating and still no bonus content.  Tried all the previous steps and still not working.
