Star Wars Jedi Survivor - No audio after initial splash screens

I bought Jedi Survivor as part of the May 4th Steam deal.  I got it all installed, but when I launch the game, I only hear audio while the splash screens are displaying.  It also goes into an "Optimi...

Go into the Sound settings in Control Panel (example below).

Disable any devices you are not using.

Unfortunately, that didn't help.  I have a sneaking suspicion that the issue is coming from when the game is "optimizing game files."  I have audio prior to that, but not after.

    I am currently playing the game and just unlocked an achievement.  It played the alert for that, but no in game audio.

      Please tell me you’ve found a solution after almost a year.  I’m finally getting around to playing it and have the same problem.
