I bought the game on EPIC and the game has to be installed through EA. I don't mind and I get it, but I can't play the game because after downloading 100%, the download resets and starts again from the beginning.
Having exactly the same Problem. Bought via Epic (PC), installation not possible because the download immediately restarts from zero after reaching 100%/128,86GB (128.84, 128.85, 128.86, 0.1, 0.2, ...) in an endless loop.
Tried on 2 different PCs multiple times, exactly the same behaviour. The PC's are connected via gigabit Ethernet LAN (no WLAN) to the router. Internet speed is 100MBit and absolutely stable (no reconnects or someting like this).Trying to install to a fast M.2 SSD with more than 2TB free space. The second PC has a Hard drive with also multiple terabytes free space.
Steam works. Steam doesn't download the game via EA.
Same problem here
Also have this problem. Recently purchased PC box version with EA redeem code. Everytime game downloads itself, the download restarts (and another 128GB is downloading again). Tried alredy 5th times and on 2 computers. EA support adice is to use CCleaner, reinstall EA app and try clean Boot system (this last advice is what I haven't tried yet). Now I am trying download again with Antivirus off.
But I have a theory where the bug is. I have EA app installed on C:\ where I have only 30GB left, but the game itself I am downloading and trying to install on disk T:\ where is a lot of free space (more than 300GB). Maybe the problem is, in that EA app (and also system TEMP folder) does not have 128GB left? Cannot try this option, because system disk itself C:\ is only 120GB big.
Can anyone of you confirm my theory? Has someone alse installing game on other disk than system one (or one where EA app is installed).
Thanks for replies.@Dewill, I don't think this is the case. I tried installing to C drive where EA app was installed and I had more than 500GB free. I also tried another drive with 180GB free space and it didn't work. The behavior was the same on both drives
Got plenty of space as well on my disks, tried clear cache, temp folder and register. still keeps downloading over and over again.
It looks like EA Desktop writes a logfile: C:\ProgramData\EA Desktop\Logs\EABackgroundService.log
I found several entries for the same file indicating that the checkum of the file SwGame/Content/Paks/pakchunk15-WindowsNoEditor.ucas did not match:779 [2024-01-06T10:21:28.010Z] PID: 12360 TID: 8524 WARN (eax::components::contentInstall::Download::Run::<lambda_bf114912f415b5c862a4c421d7592f4a>::operator ()) Download warning. What I find somewhat strange is that (on two different PCs and with multiple downloads) always the same file is logged be corrupt...
Can't even have the download process starting. I'm freaked out. This is Completely unacceptable. I bought Jedi on Epic 2 weeks ago two there is no return. I'm so disappointed!
Soooo is here any EA support? I though this site is called Answers HQ, this tread is open for some time already and I have not red anything like "Problem is recognized and we will update you once we have solution or something like that" how does is work here? First time here
