Stoney Spires puzzle: no wind from third vent

Summarize your bug So I am at the mission "Research Tanalorr via the Stone Spires", at the 3rd spire puzzle, instead of using the cube to set fire to the gunk at the waterfall, I trailed a huge line through the crack in the wall that you go through, inside, to the gunk behind the waterfall. This caused me to be softlocked and whenever I put the ball for the laser, the 3rd spire wont get destroyed, its like as if it wasn't activated. I currently cannot progress the story due to this.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? So I am at the mission "Research Tanalorr via the Stone Spires", at the 3rd spire puzzle, instead of using the cube to set fire to the gunk at the waterfall, I trailed a huge line through the crack in the wall that you go through, inside, to the gunk behind the waterfall.
