Stuck on Koboh - Forest Array - GLITCH

I'm stuck on "Reach the Forrest Array".  At the point where you fly down holding onto the bird, and rotate the Ray to burn thru the vines, which frees the Giant Bird.  Only problem is that it didn't free the bird.  It only cleared the path thru the gate.  I've watch a bunch of walkthroughs to make sure I'm not missing anything, and everyone else seems to burn the vines thru the gate, as well as freeing the Giant Bird.  

This is my second time restarting the game.  I bought a playstation JUST to play Jedi Survivor, as I really liked Fallen Order, and my old rig wouldn't support Survivor... Excited, and just having spent a 2-week paycheck, I started the game, only to get to a point where I couldn't shoot Koboh Matter, and was stuck (I forget where I was, but it wasn't long after gaining the ability to shoot matter.  I then got an "Unexpected Error".  Asking me if I want to Continue, with possible glitches, as I had "Passed some Content" or something.  I selected to start at last good save.  [BD Vision, Right Trigger]. Then, the game crashed.  Completely.  Reboted, and still stuck.  So I restarted the game.  That's when I got to the point mentioned above.  I am about to Uninstall and Reinstall.

EA - WTF?  There are LOTS of people posting about major glitches in Survivor.  You are better than this...
