"validating" on steam and game not starting
when i press play on steam it needs to validate the files and after that is done in about 10 minutes the game straight up does not start. i tried everything and nothing works

On steam you need to go into manage and then 'browse local file'
There you need to go into 'swgame' -> 'Binaries' -> 'Win64' and get the pathway to the Jedi Survivor file copied
Go back into steam and go into your 'properties' bit and paste that pathway into 'launch options'
I am in the same predicament but the EA app is not finding the game after that, so from then on I am a bit lost, hope it helps!
