Thanks for the response, @DarthFDG.
Epic seems to work fine with all other games, just this one has it in a death spiral.
I'll try uninstalling EA and Epic, rebooting and installing it again. Origin does not seems to be installed on my system, even thought I got the 'activate Jedi Survivor' window coming up with 'open origin.com'.
Here we go..
24/5
Uninstalled EA and EPIC, rebooted and reinstalled.
Launch Jedi Survivor from Epic Games Launcher, it brings up white Login screen.
Log in using email/password, EA app runs, then disappears.
Relaunching from Epic, admin privileges screen comes up, asks me to log in again.
Run EA app as administrator, log in from blue window launching game says admin privileges?, I click ok, it brings up white login screen.
Brings up EA app, launching game pops up for a second, then I get asked again ‘admin privileges?’ and white login screen appears.
Log in, EA app launches, I select ‘repair installation’ (I was looking for the main executable earlier, to see if *it* was not running as administrator, but counld not find it in the location where I installed the game – C:\Games\Jedi Survivor.
(I find it later - I was looking in the wrong directory)
I’m advised ‘repair complete’->’launching game’ window pops up briefly->’this game requires permissions’ (OK)->white login screen.
I’ve found the executable C:\Games\Jedi Survivor\SwGame\Binaries\Win64\JediSurvivor.exe, and it is already set to run as administrator. What is causing this permissions issue?
I'll check that I have a firewall exception for the game as my next step. I run Zonealarm and Mullvad VPN.
