I did that immediately after and do it monthly with complicated passwords.
It's all fine saying call a premium rate telephone number when you are disabled and jobless. There is a reason i am not subscribed in the first place.
Probably more convenient to just terminate the EA account lose a grand's worth of games i no longer play.
For EA account stuff depending on country it may be able to be handled via online chat or possibly even a call back feature - see this link for the EA account itself best to select origin as the game.
Swtor unfortunately for account issues is by phone.
I use voip myself for my phone, even skype costs me about 3 cents a minute so costs me $1.80 for an hour call to the US from Australia.
The US number is a free call within the US so using a contact setup in skype with that number may be free if you set to the country to the US itself, as an example see this link
