I don't know if this will help or not but CS asked me to send them a DXDiag report. Judging from their reply it looks like they didn't even read it. It was a pretty canned response. Nothing specific. One thing I hadn't tried before was to flush my DNS cache. I did that and it didn't help.
Anyways here is the DXDiag if you have time to take a look at it. Again thanks for the help Prox.
What needs to occur is to narrow down the cause of the connection issue
to me only way to do that is 2 fold at moment, try logging into a server on another computer connected to your internet and see if the same issue occurs
conversely take your computer to another persons internet, preferably a different ISP and see if the same issue occurs, and see if a different computer on a different computer has the same issue
One thing you can try initially is disconnect your computer from your home internet and tether your mobile phone to the computer and access the internet via your mobile gsm network ( so dont use home internet wifi on the mobile either) and see if the issue still occurs
Well a new development here. I installed SWTOR on a different PC, on the SAME network and was able to log in np. So I think this narrows the problem down to just this one PC and not the network.
I have been meaning to update this PC to Win11 for awhile now. So I went ahead and did that, hoping that would fix the problem, but it didn't help.
Now that we know it's just on this PC, can you make any suggestions as to what to look for? Again, thanks for your time and consideration Proxos.
That is highly unusual that after an OS upgrade still has an issue , legacy settings somehow ?
Open a command prompt as administrator and try the following commands separately pressing enter after each one
netsh winsock reset
netsh advfirewall reset
edit can add just in case
ipconfig /flushdnsThis is killing me man. None of those worked at all. Yes I restarted after I did all 3 too.
Checked for viruses (used Malmwarebytes), none found. Turned off Firewall and Virus Protection, no help. Turned those 2 back on. Even tried reinstalling the game (for the third time), after uninstall with Revo Uninstaller and restart.
