Ok it works. Thanks.  Gee is that problem common. I would never got a point how to fix it.

    it crops up now and then, but usually only EU countries where currency may be displayed as $ 1.000,00

    I have also black background on the character select menu and an endless loading screen after i hit play button. Have done almost everything but nothing works to fix this...

    @Werwolfodem

    if the loading screen is halting at around 90% it is likely this issue , worst case set language to English UK and see if any change.
