Hey everyone.So my problem is that when I'm playing I get really bad lag. Not lag spikes, just constant unbearable lag.The game will jitter around a few seconds behind my inputs which can cause me to spin around uncontrollably, fall off cliffs or try to fight things that are behind me.It doesn't get better with time and is ruining my experience of playing. I have tried reinstalling the game but that didn't work at all.Most people say this is a connection issue, but my fiancé plays on her PC using the same connection and hers runs perfectly.It find it hard to believe it's a hardware issue as again, my fiancé plays on ultra and my PC is marginally better than hers. (Graphics card wise and includes an SSD instead of a HDD)I honestly can't think why my game is lagging like a * and hers runs smooth as butter.Please help. I need more lightsaber action!

Thanks guys. I sorted it. Seems it was an non essential background programme that was the problem.Not sure why dxdiag is saying I'm plugged into intel hd as its definitely in the gpu.Either way. It's sorted now.

Are you both wireless or on a wired connection? Same antivirus and firewall on both computers? Any additional programs that may be running in the background of your computer?

Yes same connection. Router is wired to an Ethernet port then to both pcs. It's been like that for ages and it used to work fine with swtor when i played it back in 2011.
As for background programmes. I may have steam and twitch running. That's about it as far as i know.

Have you got the monitor plugged into the motherboard instead of the nvidia card ?

Nope, pretty sure it's in the GPU as I don't get any lag on any other game except this one.

The other thing i see in the dxdiag is a re-occuring crash in Problem signature:P1: ATKEX_cmd.exe
