No 2FA code sent (NO AUTHENTICATOR ATTATCHED)
I have been trying for 3 hours to get a code emailed to me to authenticate after entering my password, is the authentication server having a case of "hic-ups"?

Yes it could be related to the AWS server issue https://health.aws.amazon.com/health/status
