One Time Password

I decided to start playing SWTOR again because of the new content BUT I cannot do so because I changed my phone and need an OTP to reauthenticate. Needless to say I am not receiving the OTP.

Actually I tried having swtor.com send me my display name and a password reset link and it is not sending me any sort of email!

Is there a problem with the OTP? Is there a way to have it fixed without calling EA overseas (I live in Malta and the closest I can call is the UK). Isn't it a bit unfair that I have to pay to get my access back, since it is not exactly my fault.

any suggestions please?

THanks

@RealymanLPYes I did. What is funny is that I am not even getting e-mails to check display name and/or reset passwords. Seems like they forgot about my account!

To be frank I think it is a bit disappointing that there is no real contact us option.

    Thanks for that link though.

@Moghzu In that case calling in to our account and billing team should get you logged in again, once they verify your account, they can update your details and provide the OTP for you.

@EA_KiplingCan you please tell me what I would need to have at hand to verify my account? I'm asking since I will be calling from overseas and having everything at hand will reduce costs.

@Moghzu Smart thinking. They'll likely send you a verification email which will arrive from customerexperience-noreply@ea.com and all you'll need to do is read out a code/number from that email. So if you have your email inbox loaded up already, that should be enough.

@RealymanLP @EA_Kipling Thanks to both of you for the help. I called EA and the issue has been solved in a matter of minutes when support removed my security key. The funny thing though is that I could not receive the OTP to set up my new key. So I changed the email (luckily I did not need an OTP for that!) I use to login from that of my ISP to that of Gmail. Still no OTP. Then I changed it again to my work email and I started receiving them.

Is there some known issue with this or any where I could tell SWTOR as this could result in a loss of new players?

I have seen issues if the email address has already been associated with an EA account previously

Gmail is great in the fact that you@gmail.com and you@googlemail.com while viewed as different are the same email address.

If you want to switch to your gmail then try you@googlemail.com firstup

this is mentioned in the guide too
