Player Character Cut-Scene Conversation Problems

Hello, fairly new player here.

I recently bought the game, and everything had been going fine, but since the Ilum Epilogue, and around the False Emperor (which I wont even get into that flashpoint (holy bugs galore)), my Female Jedi Knight's audio conversations with NPC's have seem to be bugged. She will talk normal at times, but most of the time, since after Ilum and starting the Hutt Cartel storyline, whenever she speaks in conversation cut scene's her voice will be very fuzzy and quiet, almost inaudible.

Side Note: The NCP's talk perfectly fine, it's just my Jedi Knight/Female that seems to have the voice audio problems. I have no idea if it does this with other PC's I might make, as this is my first character and I haven't taken the time to level-up another to this point.

I also bought a lvl 60 token to see if it was doing it on later chapters, (I made a Jedi Knight/Female to try and recreate the problem) but she talks as she should during the Knights of the Fallen Empire cut scenes. I'm guessing this is just a Ilum Epilogue-The Hutt Cartel storyline problem?

Is there a way for me to fix this without having to reinstall the entire game, such as deleting the audio and or voice files? Or will this break the game and make me re-download everything all over again? I also have no idea what files I would need to delete if this was the case.

Any help would be much appreciated,

Thank You.

  • Oh, wow, I was playing around in-game to see if I could fix my problem, and it would seem that it's the head armor I was wearing making the voice of my character glitch out and sound fuzzy.

This is very strange and I'm guessing it's a bug in the coding of the game?

The head gear was: Outlander Pummeler's Headgear MK-5 on a female Togruta Jedi Knight

If anyone else wants to test this out and see if they get the same results in-game I would love to know.

Side Note: Unequipping it and then putting it back on still makes the voice of your character glitch and sound fuzzy no matter what. Also removing all your gear and just leaving the helm on will still make your character's voice sound strange no matter what. So I'm guessing this is a bug.

I suppose I'll just be removing it before each conversation or until I get a better helm. 🙂

Thanks for the help and I'm glad it was just an armor bug/coding bug or whatever in the world is wrong and I didn't have to completely reinstall the game.

  • UPDATE:

I just started the Shadows of Revan storyline and my characters voice/conversation problem continues. I've also started to notice that when it battle she also has the fuzzy sounding audio---which means it's not just while having conversations with NPC's.

I'm wondering if something might be wrong with my character on the server? Some sort of error while playing?

It's really annoying trying to play and not even getting to enjoy the conversations my character has with others because of this audio/voice/conversation??? problem. ☹️

  • Try deleting the Bitraider folder,  that forces an repair.

I don't have a Bitraider folder, I deleted it so the game would install without it.

It also seems like every conversation cut-scene my character has, no matter the level, is having the audio problem; the strange thing is that none of my other characters have this problem when they talk in cut-scene's; just my main character.

Is there a file that has to do with the sounds and or talking your character does that I could maybe delete to fix this?

  • If you do not have an Bitraider,  the Game has an repair function.

Some Helmets have voice modulation, this works if shown or not shown.

You may need to check you pc setting to fix the problem...if you have to reload the game it's best to delete the game (everything). Before reloading be sure to check the setting on you pc and anti-virus, spyware, so on isn't set too high also. Then if it still happens you report it as a bud.
