Random freeze/graphics error on Lenovo Y510P Win 8

So I had this problem for a while and it is starting to get really annoying, since I can't play the game properly. It's kinda hard to describe it exactly without screenshots (I'll try to provide a few if needed). This mostly happens in operations, warzones and in the eternal championships. After I play the game for about 30 minutes the screen turns black or at least some part of it and it behaves like slideshow. Some parts of the screen may turn black and some may stay, for example sometimes the background is there, sometimes parts of the UI stay and others don't, sometimes the screen completely goes black. The game and the laptop doesn't crash though and I don't DC, I can still move around and attack, use abilities, but like I said the game becomes a very slow slideshow with parts of the screen missing. The only way to fix it so far is to ALT+F4 and restart the game. Whenever I do an ops run or try to finish the eternal championship it's bound to happen. A few days ago I couldn't finish a DP SM run, because this would happen on every boss at least once.

Here are the important specs I have
Lenovo Y510P with 120 GB SSD (game runs from this)
Windows 8 64bit
i7-4700MQ @2.4GHz processor
8 GB RAM
2 x GeForce GT 750M

I know how to google, so I tried to read a lot about this problem actually and I tried a lot of proposed solutions, but none of them worked so far. Here are the things I tried:
1. Reinstalling video card drivers. Not installing GeForce experience, only drivers. Running GeForce experience in debug mode. Turning SLI off completely.
2. I read somewhere that I should turn off the grass completely as that somehow causes errors on this video card, but it didn't help. I also tried running the game on minimal settings.
3. It is not an overheating issue, I checked that.
4. There is no spike in processor or memory usage when the error happens, like I said the laptop doesn't crash and other programs continue to run like normal.
5. I tried running a command prompt in administrator mode and typing "sfc /scannow" and after it finished doing "Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth". Didn't help.
6. I disabled LPM (Link Power Management) in the Intel Rapid Storage Technology program as I read that it helped a lot of people.

I really could use some help, I can play the single player content and the error doesn't seem to happen on planets while doing normal quests. But the moment I enter an ops, wz or flashpoint it will surely happen

Run the repair etc mentioned in the other thread (Link) and go from there

30 minutes and slideshow screen going black sounds like a thermal throttling issue, however no harm to eliminate other things.

Press enter and type reliability , open the reliability monitor and look if anything appears there when this occurs, could be the driver falling over and resetting but not recovering correctly as well.

Thanks for your suggestions, they seemed to have helped. I didn't notice anything game or video card related in the reliability monitor. I did the repair and the error changed. Now whenever a crash is happening I get a loading screen for a few seconds and the game goes back after that to normal. Some content is still not doable this way, but it's much better than having to close the game.

Not sure about my temperatures though. Core temperature maximum is between 87-93 °C, while video card temperature is 90 °C maximum, I don't know if these are normal or not, but I reach these temperatures without the crash, so during exploring or simply running the game and logging in, that's why I thought that's not the main reason for the error.

Do you have maybe some other advice I could try?

Those temps are getting on the high side for a laptop , normally the CPU max allowable temp will be near 100 °C , but that is maximum and as far under that is best, depending on the bios it may want to start thermal throttle some time before that to try and keep temps down.

90 is high for a GPU, however nvidia mobility is likely designed to be around 105 by memory varies depending on model, try manually setting the fans to maximum and see if that gets the temps lower as well.

Cooling pad would help with those temps too.

Double check also that power option is set to high performance when playing, it is possible if say on power save that a loading screen can randomly appear and then continue on.

Can also clear the game cache and create a new one , with the launcher closed go to

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\BioWare\Star Wars-The Old Republic\swtor

and delete just the file called diskcachearena and then can start the launcher/game

    Just to give an update.

I already had a cooling pad. I also cleaned my laptop with compressed air and now the temperatures seem lower by 5-7 °C, so that's nice. I did clear the game cache. Unfortunately from what I have googled my laptop won't allow setting the fan speed as a lot of features aren't accessible in the BIOS and would only be editable by special mods. Not sure if I want to go this way.

The error is still present in the form of the loading screen, I guess I'll try deleting the picture file to see what happens then (I remember this was suggested for SnV, where in the Dashroode fight some people would get a loading screen when teleported.) It's still much better than what was before.

When you said "power option is set to high performance", you meant that in the nvidia control panel? If so that was on high settings and not adaptive.

Power option as in Windows Power Options see this link

Do not delete the loading screen , cut it out and paste it back before any patches as it may cause issues being missing
