RE: Account Dispute ---- An important announcement regarding your SWTOR

To Whom it may concern,

While I understand this is not the correct forum to have this issue address, the correct channels have yet to respond in the last 28 hours and my account is still locked.

I have sent five e-mails to [edit: email address removed] as by the customer service phone team and have had no response.

Per the directions below from the e-mail from bioware support, I have run my avast-anti virus scan along with CCcleaner with no issues found. I then contract customer service whom informed me my account was suspended one week due to a payment issue and to e-mail the depute team as the number I was told to call could not help me unlock my account. After talking with him and he stated he was unable to unlock the account and I would have to send an e-mail in disputing the issue. I asked for his supervisor, he told me that he could not help but I insisted. After being placed on hold for ten minutes, mysteriously the call dropped. A second call to customer service resulted in me being told the account had violated the teams of the EULA and my account was banned.

I just returned as a subscriber last night and after paying the one time payment of -31.97 to reactivate by subscription played Friday night and now have a one week suspension or banned  ????? I suspect I understand what happened when I returned to change my security key and transfer off of a dead sever one character --- it looked like a hacked account and it was frozen. Perfectly logical but someone needs to respond to me to help fix the issue. Customer Service despite several calls only tells me that my only option is to e-mail the dispute team and wait patiently for them to respond in several days.

Some Facts
1. Returned last night and purchased my subscription for 60 days.
2. Removed my security key as I had changed phones.
3. Added a security key to my new phone.
4. Transferred my character off of POT5 to Harbinger as POT5 still has almost no one on it.
5. Played with my friends for a couple of hours.
6. Logged in Saturday morning to play until I have pick-up the kids and found the following error "There is a problem with you account. Please Check your e-mail".
7. I can log in to my account on the website and this is what I get " This account is not permitted to access the Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ servers.  An email notification has been sent to the email address associated with this account with more information about what this means and what steps may be taken to resolve the issue".

The steps in the e-mail below did not work as customer service says they can't help me can you help assist me?

  • As frustrating as this is, the Bioware/EA support team are not likely to respond outside of telling you the same information you know, as account issues are not discussed in this manner.

I will say to try contacting them tomorrow as they only have a skeleton team on over the weekend and you might have more look getting things chased up.

  • I'm so ***ing mad, this exact same * happened to me today. I get an email this morning saying my account was locked or w/e, I'm at work so i can't take time to deal with this sht. So I get another email saying a purchase was refunded randomly, and when I get home, I call customer service to see wtf is happening and he claims i have to get in touch with EA help about the refund * which doesn't make sense and I've been sitting waiting for live chat to pick up for the past two hours now, and he said it's nothing on the server side and that the morning crew will be the ones to unban my account. WELL WHY CANT HE DO IT? AND WHY WAS MY ACCOUNT BANNED ANYWAY WHEN I USE A SECURITY KEY AND WAS PLAYING, BARELY 6 HOURS PRIOR TO THE STUPID EMAIL THIS MORNING??????

I'm so pissed because all I want to do whe i get home is play this damn game, and now I'm forced to WAIT for who knows how long, and i worry my account is banned for a week like OP's is, and it's not even my fault. They should NOT lock accounts without confirmation of wtf is happening because innocents are getting caught in the crossfire and I'm ****ing mad as hell.

Oh and wonderful addendum: Freaking live chat is broken so I can't even contact EA help for figuring this sht out. thanks for nothing.

I would follow the steps outlined here:

    http://www.swtor.com/support/helpcenter/2550

If you have received a strike or a suspension and you wish to appeal the decision, please  email [edit: email address removed] and outline the reasons for your appeal. All appeals sent in this manner will be reviewed by a specialized team. Please be aware that this is the only avenue to contest an action taken against your account.

Please understand that our Customer Service agents cannot investigate or assist with any queries you may have on the matter while your case is under review.

Unfortunately this would be the fastest way to get your account un-banned.
