likely 2 separate issues
1. change the email to one never used on an ea / origin or swtor account, it should verify ok, after that you should be able to switch the email back
2. the linked ea account is likely flagged for a password reset , this is meant to disable purchasing but for some buying a 60 day sub it goes through for some and the time will not be added to the account.
i should have a response for you as to the cause of 2 in about 7 hrs and they will likely refund that purchase
