Yes, there is a way to do this. If you go to the cartel market in-game (ctrl+M is the default shortcut) there are a few rename options, one for character names, one for legacy names, and one for guild names. You may use one per 90 days, but they are NOT reusable. Each time you must buy a new one. The character and legacy are 1000 cartel coins each, while the guild rename is 3000 cartel coins.

As @Starrucca is describing, but I would wait until after the United Forces Update goes live on Nov the 8th.
