You need to reset the password on the linked EA account that account has the persona swook (not Swook33 your posting with now) that EA account uses the same gmail email as on your swtor account
use the following link to reset the password https://signin.ea.com/p/web2/resetPassword (insert the swtor email in the link) then login on that EA account to fix the swtor account for purchasing
for future purchases, use incognito mode on chrome initially if you purchase on swtor.com to be sure browser cache and cookies is cleared
Yay it works now. Thank you proxos666.
Have some changes been made at EA that the old swtor accounts is to be linked to EA account? Or do the ones that unsub need to do this every time they unsub for a month or so?

The EA account linkage with swtor is done on account creation , they are linked for purchasing
if the linked ea account is flagged for a ppassword reset or even banned for example , it disables purchasing in the swtor account as well.
the linkage is detailed in https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/star-wars/star-wars-the-old-republic/swtor-account-linked
Yo.
So back in Late September I followed the instructions, changed my password and and linked to my EA account and It worked and I could resubscribe. However it only lasted for a month and now I am in the same spot again. Any idea what happened? I did not get an email saying that it was unable to resubscribe.
"There is an issue with your Electronic Arts account which will prevent S W T O R purchases until resolved. Please contact customer support () for further assistance."
However I did not end the Subscription this time, it just didn't renew. And I did set it up for billing for
Billed every 30 days.
What went wrong?
This was so much easier before, doing it directly on the star wars the old republic site.
hmm seems its not linked. I thought it was. does this mean I have to change password each time the subscription runs out? I logged in on my EA account but s w t o r is not there and I can't find a button where to link my account nor on the S W T O R site.

2 factor authentication , i use google authenticator on my ea account
Hi, I am having an issue as well. My account is pretty old and I have been an on and off sub a few times over the years, coming back occasionally. I can no longer purchase coins or sub.
I am getting the following error message:
There is an issue with your Electronic Arts account which will prevent SWTOR purchases until resolved. Please contact customer support (https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/star-wars/star-wars-the-old-republic/swtor-support) for further assistance.
I have reset the PW on my EA account. I was able to update my Swotor email to match my EA email though that took some work. I added a valid payment method to my EA account.
The name I had used when I signed up for SWOTOR in 2013 was Velathra
It is so frustrating to actually want to give them money and have no means to contact them because I haven't given them money (calling them in the UK from Canada where I live, seems to be the only option but is not that easy with the time difference) ):
If anyone has an idea let me know,
Thank you!
