ok so I got an email saying that they couldn't do anything since I wasn't a subscriber. 

turns out I had deleted the character that I had bought the twi lek unlock on and didn't transfer(?) it to another toon. They said that they could restore the character but to do that I need to subscribe.

That doesn't make a lot of sense unless the unlock wasn't used by the character to unlock the race.

Maybe reply to that email with exactly that , that this response doesnt make sense if the race was unlocked on that legacy/server, given you paid money for it you want the unlock re-instated.

Do you have the unlock listed in your purchase history ?

I do and I sent them a screenshot of it.

Have you claimed the item before under "Unclaimed" when you purchased it?

I can see here that the character you have used to purchase the item was deleted last 3/30/2017. The character name was Gohisheel, a level 12 Sith Warrior. If you did not claim the item yet. That item is still on that character's "Unclaimed" or if you already claimed it (but not consumed), then it is in it's inventory.

However, we can only restore a character for subscribers. I am very sorry that the only way to get that unlock back is to restore the character which will only be possible if you are a subscriber.

If you subscribe in the future, you can contact us again so we can restore your character and recover the item you lost.

Lets see how they respond, its an odd one with the unlock not holding on the account.

if the item was never used, it would be still in the unclaimed section of the cartel market (which can only be claimed from the character who bought it) or it is in the inventory of the deleted character.

they should give you the character back or just grant you the unlock as you paid for that with cartel coins back in the days.

I have claimed and used it I have two Twi Lek toons already and went to make another one when I decided to play again and didn't have access to them

did you start on a new server?

the unlock is only legacy bound so only for the server you played on before and not a new one
