Are you conencted wireless if so try a wired ethernet connection to the modem so can eliminate poor wireless signal as the issue
you can use something like www.pingplotter.com while you play and graph to say 8.8.8.8 to see if any changes when you try to play the game
this will give you a test independent of the game on the condition of the local network
