@proxos666- and yet - when I synchronized both passwords - the error I had since I changed password as described above:
"(...) There is an issue with your Electronic Arts account which will prevent SWTOR purchases until resolved. Please contact customer support (https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/star-wars/star-wars-the-old-republic/swtor-support) for further assistance. (...)"
disappeared miraculously 😉
Ergo: from my experience - synchronizing both accounts in email/password departments worked.- proxos6663 years agoHero+
that error usually indicates the linked ea account is disabled and requires a password change
@proxos666- and yet - it was just EA's app/launcher password that needed to be changed.
My EA and SWtOR accounts (and passwords) were exactly the same and operational. What is more - I purchased some unimportant game via EA to test if there was a problem with the payment system or some kind of "disabled" account as you write - but nope. The purchase from under the EA went smoothly.
The above mentioned synchro of emails and passwords between EA/SWtOR accounts and EA launcher was sufficient to solve the issue.
Yes, even though I changed my password at EA's web page a day before I still had to use an old password to get into the EA APP/launcher.
I did not touch my EA password today.
Hence the answer.- proxos6663 years agoHero+
sounds like the ea app launcher account is the linked ea account , and is a different ea account would explain why you still needed to use a different password to login
the email belonging to the linked ea account can be found on the transaction history page in your swtor account
