Re: Unable to receive one-time password

As always check your junk/spam folder.  Go into settings, ensure no emails are blocked in your settings.  If that doesn't work you may just need to give it time to arrive.  Sometimes there is a delay in the email arriving.

If its been about 30min and it still hasn't arrived then I would log into your account at swtor.com and change your email to a different email and try again. You could always create a gmail for example if you don't have one or a yahoo and just change your email temporarily and then once you get the email change it back.

Once you are able to get into your account, I strongly recommend securing it with the swtor security key app for android / iPhone.  Not only will you get 100cc a month free but it will ask you for the random code from the app and no longer have to wait for a one-time password to use and will prevent this from happening in the future.

If you have a windows phone, any security key app can be used as a security key app for swtor.

If you are still not able to login or receive the email, you would need to contact customer service using the information below for further assistance:

    I'm also having the same problem.

    Ive don't everything suggested except login to the website and change the email because it also asks me for a  one time password to get into the website account.

    Ive checked spam folders, checked with my ISP, they told me no email has actually been sent.

    As a test I even did a forget password for this site and I received the email quickly.

    I live in Australia, so an international call is out of the question.

    Hi Owen,

    I don't use Skype or even have a microphone! is there some other way to contact them.. Ie via email?

    Also I am able to do a password change for my swtor account. I even get the email from them for the request. I can change it, but then when I go to login it asks for a one time password and that email never arrives.

    @Bustymerc

    Only other thing I can think of is if you can change the email address currently used ?

    There policy doesn't allow them to help usually with this issue except by phone i'm afraid

    you can try emailing support@swtor.com but I think there only response will be to phone i'm afraid.

    How long has this issue been going on for ? maybe waiting 24 -48 hours to see if it self resolves is worth while , once you do get this sorted , think about applying a security key to the account even by using say winauth , there will be no need to wait for the emails anymore

    sorry cant help more with this

    The thing is I can't even get into my account to change the email address. It asks for a one time password there too.

    Ive also just tried to login into the account again after confirming a password change and now it says the password is wrong. Is that because I couldn't confirm it in time with a one time password?

    @Bustymerc

    Not sure i'm afraid,

    Maybe waiting 24 hours is the best thing to do at present and then see if the password email arrives.

    phoning is the quickest but even then the only thing they will do is to change the email address being used on the account.

    Once you get past this hurdle set a security key up , if no mobile available use www.winauth.com on that PC

    Do you have a smart phone?  Skype is a free app you can download to it if you have one.
