EA Staffthe issues with getting stuck at character, server selection and the splash screen has been resolved. This was not connected at all to the new launcher but a wider issue.
If you still have issues logging into the game after you got the new updated launcher, please follow the steps outlined here and send in your log files so the team can have a look at them.
I find it completely unprofessional to force current subscribers, without any ability to opt out, into testing the new launcher.
Ethics at Bioware are seriously lacking in how SWTOR has been run leading into and since 7.0 launched. Folks already paid for subscription time. If the new launcher causes problems, these players won't be able to access the game properly and as expected, with the launcher that is currently live.
The fact that this wasn't enough of a concern to make testing voluntary speaks volumes, regarding the contempt Bioware has for SWTOR's remaining players, and the lack of leadership at the organization itself.
