Hello, 

if you go to the swtor website, and try to login, do you see a Steam account being linked? cause usually that error message means that a Swtor account is already linked to Steam, so if you log on Swtor website using browndonut, it should confirm if you are linked to Steam or not

In order to link Swtor to a Steam account, you would need to have downloaded the game through Steam, then launch the game for the first time via your Steam library and enter your Swtor credential after launching the game.

Where you able to play recently? or did you maybe take a break from the game ?

Based on the error message you are getting , it would seem there is another Swtor  account involved.  Is it possible that someone else in your family is playing Swtor  and was logged into your  Steam account  when they first started?
