Steam support told me that only the publisher can cancel my subscription this way and referred me to you. And it's not that they took away my money but didn't give me a subscription, it's just that at the end of the next subscription period my subscription plan was deleted and I can't renew it now.
I do fall under the restrictions, but my subscription plan was issued long before these incidents, and Steam does not delete subscriptions to users, even if they were removed from the purchase page in the store.
I have flagged with swtor support to see if they have anything further about steam purchases, but at the end of the day if steam has followed suit to not sell to certain locations, then not a lot can be done
Will have a response back in about 4 - 5 hrs when they are online for the day

Support are not aware of any recent changes with steam from their side, if steam have decided to restrict selling the same as EA there is not a lot you can do
