I get this message when I try to pay for an 180 day subscription. (That didn't work, let's try again. If the problem persists you may want to use a different payment method or try again later.)
I live in the Nordics if it is an regional issue.
UPDATE: I was able to buy a 30 day subscription with no problem, it seems the higher prices of the other subscriptions should have triggered the 2 factor authentication of my bank but for some reason didn't so they were automatically denied.
See Error 409 | EA Forums - 11899226 same applies for your account

hello I don't know if you still look at this but I can't subscribe I tried to change my swtor mail changed my accounts password but still doesn't work my display name is Theotoria
all swtor accounts are linked to an ea account, for those that created their account before June 25th 2019, the ea account used the same email address as the swtor account on account creation
https://help.ea.com/au/help/star-wars/star-wars-the-old-republic/swtor-account-linked/
If you cant resolve the issue you need to call swtor support when the lines are open so they can check for any account issues
https://help.ea.com/en/help-extent-content/?platform=null&channelType=Deflection&product=star-wars-the-old-republic&topic=load-gameHello,
When trying to buy membership, I've had either of these two errors:
- The EA Billing and management services cannot be accessed at this time, please try again later.
- An error has occurred while trying to process your request. Please, try again later. {0}
Following these steps (https://swtorista.com/articles/swtor-account-cant-subscribe-due-to-maintenance/) led to an interesting chain of events: despite from what I read, my SWTOR account wasn't registered at EA. Perhaps because apparently someone's using a nickname on his/her EA account that is the same as mine for my SWTOR account. So someone is going to get a password reset email...
Step 2 doesn't work, because weirdly only the browser on the computer that I used to register my account works: my private computer on Firefox. Neither Edge nor Chrome work, nor does trying to login on my work-laptop nor my smartphone.
I've never had a situation where a company seems to be actively trying to prevent me paying them money, as if you're supposed to play this game f2p. Really weird.
Anyway, no clue what to do now. Does anyone else know what to do?
My SWTOR account's name is Hemidactylus.
Account name: RhodesRebel
I am having the exact same issue and unhelpful error tag "There is an issue with your Electronic Arts account which will prevent SWTOR purchases until resolved. Please contact customer support for further assistance" I have never had as many problems with an account as I have with this EA account. I look into the link provided and am greeted with the reality that I cannot contact customer support unless I'm subscribed.....Are you serious?!account name : reQQy
can't sub aswell, tried kinda everything / also reseted both EA and swtor passwords.
Account name:Roannicent
Trying to sub but getting the error saying "There is an issue with your Electronic Arts account which will prevent SWTOR purchases until resolved. Please contact customer support for further assistance"
I also have a problem ; account name Revalight
It says this : An error has occurred while trying to process your request. Please, try again later.
Name: Mokolotivet
