Swtor cant click to put item in quest

Hi I am trying to play the Traitor Quest on Alderaan however i cant put the first mine on the pillar as the hand symbol doesnt appear...ive tried moving the camera and resetting the quest neither worked, second one was also tricky but when i moved the camera angle I could then attach the mine.

What should i do or am I not doing it right?
