SWTOR Customer Service Ignores Customers - Lag Issues

Let`s say I`m Fluffy and I`m playing SWTOR on the Red Eclipse server. I`m playing from the Netherlands. I`ve been experiencing extreme, random server lags for 2 months. TeamSpeak, websites, even downloads work perfectly fine, just the SWTOR gets to 150000 ms server lag. I`ve reset the whole wifi several times with no success. Even called the IPS (KPN), they didn`t find any problems. Then I contacted the Customer Service ingame, and encountered a genius 2 times. Sorry, but i`m really mad right now.

So I told him my problem in as much detail as I could, in a polite way. He got back to me with this BS.

Okay, my pulse got to the roof, because it clearly showed he either didn`t care or didn`t even read it. But I tried to stay a little bit positive, and opened a new ticket. You may ask why I opened a new one? Because this guy closed the old one! So I described my problem again, pressing on it is definitely not graphical or other FAQ issues. I`ve got an answer in 12 hours.

SO THE CUSTOMER SERVICE JUST SENDS AUTOMATIC REPLIES TO THEIR CUSTOMERS! Good job on ignoring us guys! Your game is close to unplayable and that`s how you treat your customers. I guess if it was Cartel Market issue, you`d act in a moment.

I expect an answer. An apology. And a conversation that leads to a solution.

  • @Flufferfly  We have insane lag on the Harbinger too, in fact ever since right after the Glalactic Stronghold expansion released the lag problems get bad and then not so bad in an erratic manner.  My solution for when that happens is I simply log out of my toon, I don't shut down the game and then I log back in and my ping drops from 140K back to my normal double digit ping.

My feeling is they sent you an automated reply for two reasons, 1. to allow you to know that they received your post, and 2. they may not have a solution for your latency situation and customer service won't make up a solution when they don't know the real answer.

It sucks to have an issue that isn't yet resolved but I know from personal experience that customer service does offer quick responses and solid solutions when they can solve the problem. I have also had problems that went unanswered like yours when the problems were more esoteric.

Is is only Red Eclipse that has lag for your or have you created another toon on a sister server to see if the latency problems occur there too?

    Dear Ragnarok,

    Thank you for your answer.

I don`t play on any other servers, so I can`t say much of others. When it occurs I really try everything, switching the wifi channel, restarting the router, the game, and logging in and out just to the character selection. Switching channels solves the problem for 1-2 minutes. Logging out of my character decreases the lag significantly, but does not eliminate (46 - 400 ms jumps usually). Definitely better than 150 s, but still. Now restarting the game or the router don`t help at all.

My problem is if they can`t solve the problem, say so. Don`t send me *.

    With regards,

    Fluffy

Two things, it seems you get an automate response every time you forgot you Character and Server Name,

there are a lot of people, over Europe, having lag spikes, this seems to be an problem with level3 and telia, sadly BW can/ will not do much there.

Same problems for me, I have traced the problem to be a company called level3, that is some sort of a telecommunication company through which the swtor data/connection goes through. They are giving me thousands of server lag everywhere, Strongholds, every planet, every location, every character, on The Progenitor EU server. It's making my game totally unplayable, DC'ing all the time, yet every single other internet using program/game works perfectly on the side. It has -nothing- to do with my computer/connection. I have contacted BW customer service for this, yet they always answer with the same automatic reply of ''Try to use our troubleshooting'', which I've tried, every single suggestion, nothing helped, its SO frustrating, since I JUST resubbed, I'm paying for their game that I'm not even able to play anymore. I contacted level3 through their facebook page, and they answered, asked me to contact my own ISP (Internet Service Provider), I did, and they said they arent able to help. How is this fair for a paying customer of Bioware/EA?

I also tried WTFast.com, which didnt help at all.
