SWTOR Guild creation problem

Any time I try to create a guild, with four members and 5000 credits, I type a name (any name, thus far) and click the create button. The creation screen vanishes and nothing else happens. No error message, no indication of what happened and no guild. I have tried this on two different toons with 3-4 different groups, often passing lead to another player to see if they can create it. Same results.
