The game wouldn't start

The game wouldn't start after i press "play" the launcher will just close and nothing will happen, what can be the problem and how can i fix it?

if you go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\BioWare\Star Wars-The Old Republic\swtor\retailclient

there is a file called client_defaults , edit this file in notepad and just change fullscreen to false , save

then

Press the [Windows] Key + [R] at the same time

Copy the following in to the text box and press ok

%localappdata%\swtor\swtor\settings

Then Delete the client_settings.ini file

Also just to confirm all windows updates are done , including any optional ones for C++ and .net ?
