what other networks are we talking here ? same region location etc

Those networks are likely firewalled , and this is likely what is blocking

in the game folder is a log folder , the latest log with the last login attempt is worth looking at though if you want to attach it.

Just in case does the date and time match the region settings for the account currently ?

I just tried it again to check the timezone, and it's 7 hours ahead of where I am currently.

From what I am aware the region on the account has to match the timezone for that account on the PC

From the sticky above they list

Ensure that the date on your computer is correct (date, time and timezone)

I recall now that when I most recently logged on, my laptop's windows clock was 2 timezones behind the location where I was connecting.  Could this have complicated things?

I believe the timezone on the PC needs to match the timezone in the account , I am not sure if they look at the IP address being used in that it would affect timezones, I do know that affects purchases though but that is different to the login servers

So I am now back on the network i originally downloaded and installed on.  I did a fresh install from origin and the 309 error persists.  If it's a clock/timezone issue how can i correct that?
