Visa card not accepted ("can't perform transactions to this credit card")

Hello. When trying to add Cartel Coins in game, I get a "Requesting data" pop-up with an error message: "An error occured while processing your request. Please try again later. Error Code: 10"

Trying again later didn't help.

Logged in on the SWTOR site and went in my account to Cartel Coins. I had "Purchasing of Cartel Coins from the in-game Cartel Market" enabled, disabled it so I could enter my new Visa card. Clicked" "Enable". There was still a previous credit card listed there that I since then removed. There was no option there to add a new card. Clicked on Subscription, then at the bottom on Payment History. There I finally saw Credit Card Accounts. There's no credit card listed there, since I removed it, so I don't know why that old credit card is still listed under Cartel Coins. Clicked on "Add a new credit card", Fill in the information, then get an error message "We're sorry, but we can't perform transactions to this credit card. Please load a different one."

My card is Visa Business Credit.

    While logged in on SWTOR I clicked on my EA account, got sent to https://myaccount.ea.com/, went to payment methods to try to add my card there. Yet another error message:

    "Your request could not be processed.
    We're unable to verify this credit card."

    Both SWTOR and EA immediatly reject my card and don't explain why they're unable to verify, why they can't perform transactions. Also, "Please load a different one"? I only have one and it works fine for online purchases.

    swtor account displayname ?

    There is a known issue with credit cards issued from Denmark, best is to tie the credit card to a paypal account and purchase that way

    Hi, I'm not from Denmark, but I will try to tie my credit card to my Paypal account and see if that helps.

    Well, turns out my VISA card was already connected to my PayPal account so that isn't the issue. I can't enter my credit card information on swtor.com and I can't enter it on ea.com, I get error messages on both sites even though my VISA works fine everywhere else.

    I contacted EA directly about this as well. Same day, I got a reply the same day asking me to provide information, which I did. I then got another reply on Thursday telling me to contact SWTOR even though I mentioned I can't use my VISA card on the EA website either. I then got another mail on Friday asking me to specify which error message I'm getting even though I already communicated that and added a screenshot of the error as well. Now today I get me a message telling me to use another payment method.

    So I still can't use my VISA. I've attached a screenshot of the error I get on the EA website.

    @proxos666 Hey, thanks for continuing to help me. My SWTOR display name is RevansSoul. I've had my VISA card linked to my PayPal account for a quite a while now, certainly before I tried using it to pay on ea.com and swtor.com so I'm afraid that solution won't work for me. I don't know if it may have something to do with it, but even though I've been a member since 2010, EA deactivated my EA account without any prior notification, even though I had paid products on it, and the explanation was inactivity, I didn't log in for 4 years. I managed to have it restored in May.

    Support can see the ticket in May regarding the disabled EA account 

    The accounts have no issues now , last purchase attempt they see was made in June via Paypal not the visa

    to be sure it is not a browser cache issue, use incognito mode on chrome or delete the web browser cache and cookies

    @proxos666 I logged in via incognito mode, but I get the same error. I did notice that when I click Add Payment Method, the fields for my name are filled in automatically, but not correctly. My last name is two words and the form puts the first part of my last name together with my first name in the field of my first name. I corrected my name, but surely that can't be the issue right?
